The book Turning Numbers into Knowledge is now in its second printing
OAKLAND, CA Analytics Press today announced that the hardcover book Turning Numbers into Knowledge: Mastering the Art of Problem Solving is now in its second printing. Turning Numbers into Knowledge teaches the art of using numbers for practical problem solving, revealing tools, tricks, and heretofore unwritten rules that the best real-world problem solvers know by heart.
“Quantitative reasoning skills are increasingly vital to good decision making in the world today, but too many people shy away from studying this topic,” said the author, Jonathan G. Koomey. “This book’s many cartoons, quotations, and funny graphics make it more readable (and much, much more fun) than other books that teach these skills,”said Koomey.
This book is written for researchers and decision makers in business, government, and academia, and has been used to teach classes at Stanford, UC Berkeley, Georgetown, IBM, the Global Business Network, Rochester Institute of Technology, Allegheny College, Ohio University Business College, Sonoma State University, JFK University (Orinda, CA), College of the Redwoods, DUXX Escuela de Graduados en Liderazgo Empresarial, S.C. (Mexico), and many other institutions. It is an ideal training manual for those new to or intimidated by quantitative analysis, and an excellent refresher for those with more experience.
