Jonathan
Koomey is a Staff Scientist at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory,
in Berkeley, California, and as of July 2003 is beginning a one-year
leave from that position. For the 2003-2004 academic year, he will
hold the MAP/Ming visiting professorship in energy and environment
at Stanford University, which is a joint appointment between the
engineering and earth sciences departments.
Koomey
holds M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the Energy and Resources Group
at the University of California at Berkeley, and an A.B. in History
of Science from Harvard University. He is the author or co-author
of seven books and more than one hundred and thirty articles and
